Who runs this site
This is the personal portfolio of Michael G. Luca, a Power Platform developer based in London, UK. If you have any question about this page or about your data, email mrmgluca@outlook.com. I am the data controller for any personal data described below.
Cookies and browser storage
This site sets no cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising, no embedded social media and no third-party scripts or fonts, so nothing here tracks you or reports your visit to anyone.
The one thing it may keep in your browser is your theme choice. If you use the light/dark switch in the header, a single entry named “theme” is saved in your browser’s local storage so the site opens in the theme you chose the next time you visit on that device. It holds only the name of the theme, contains nothing about you, and is never sent anywhere. Because it exists solely to honour a setting you asked for, the UK cookie rules (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, PECR) do not require a consent banner for it. Switching back to the default dark theme removes it, and so does clearing site data for michaelluca.co.uk in your browser settings.
Hosting
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service run by GitHub, Inc., a Microsoft company based in the United States. Like any web host, GitHub’s servers receive your IP address and the standard details of each request (the page you asked for, the type of browser you use) in order to deliver the page and keep the service secure. GitHub may keep logs of this for its own purposes, as set out in the GitHub privacy statement. I do not receive or hold these logs.
If you email me
If you contact me by email, I receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. I use this only to reply and to follow up on your enquiry. The legal basis for this is my legitimate interest in responding to people who get in touch (UK GDPR, Article 6(1)(f)). Your messages are held in my Microsoft Outlook mailbox, are not shared with anyone else, and are never used for marketing. I keep correspondence only as long as it takes to deal with the enquiry and any work that follows from it, and delete it once it is no longer needed.
Links to other sites
The LinkedIn and GitHub buttons take you to those sites, which have their own privacy policies. Nothing about you is sent to them before you click, and the only thing sent when you do is the address of this site as the referring page.

The app screens shown on this site are illustrations rendered with made-up data. No resident, officer or client information appears anywhere on this site.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can:
- ask what personal data I hold about you, and get a copy of it;
- ask for it to be corrected or deleted;
- ask me to restrict how I use it, or object to my using it at all.
To do any of these, email me at the address above. If you are unhappy with how I have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
